Rich tributes paid to departed soul of Dr. Madhava Bhandary

Mangalore, July 18, 2012: A condolence meeting was held for Dr. Madhava Bhandary, former chairman of the MUDA and senior RSS leader, at Sangha Niketan in Mannagudde on July 18, Tuesday, during which a number of social workers, politicians, religious leaders, and friends paid tributes to the departed leader. 

D. V. Sadananda Gowda, former chief minister of Karnataka, offered a floral tribute to Dr. Bhandary and said that Mr. Bhandary played an important role in building the spirit of patriotism in India. Dr. Bhandary’s life and philosophy will be a source of inspiration to future generations, he added.

Speaking on the occasion, N. Yogish Bhat, deputy speaker of the state legislative assembly, listed out the various contributions of Dr. Bhandary to society. 

Senior Congress leader Janardhan Poojary spoke about the life and achievements of Dr. Bhandary. 

Sushil Noronha, Dr. Vaman Shenoy, J. Krishna Palemar, Kapu Vishwanath Shetty, Dhama Ravindra, Nagaraj Shetty, M. B. Puranik, Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, Vasanth Poojary, and Pradeep Kumar Kalkura were also present. 

The final rites of  Dr. Bhandary will be held in Boloor.
