Rev. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho appointed Vicar Forane of Mangalore City Deanery

Mangaluru, Jun 2, 2026: Rev. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Parish Priest of St Teresa’s Church, Paldane, has been appointed as the Vicar Forane of the Mangalore City Deanery under the Diocese of Mangalore.

The Mangalore City Deanery comprises 12 parishes, including Paldane, Kulshekar, Vamanjoor, Bajjodi, Bajal, Bondel, Permannur, Kelarai, Neermarga, Derebail, Angelore and Shaktinagar.

Rev. Fr Coelho brings with him extensive pastoral and administrative experience. Over the years, he has served as Parish Priest in several parishes across the Diocese. He also served as Director of the Father Muller Group of Institutions, Kankanady, for nearly 15 years, playing a significant role in the growth and development of the institution.

Since 2025, he has been serving as the Parish Priest of St Teresa’s Church, Paldane. His appointment as Vicar Forane entrusts him with the responsibility of coordinating and guiding the pastoral activities of the parishes within the Mangalore City Deanery.
