Renowned folk scholar Paltady Ramakrishna Achar passes away

Puttur, May 08, 2024: Renowned scholar and former president of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy, Dr Paltady Ramakrishna Achar passed away on May 7, Tuesday night. He was 79.

 

He was at his daughter’s house at Peruvaje in Sullia taluk when his health deteriorated all of a sudden. Though he was rushed to a hospital in Puttur, he breathed his last before reaching the hospital.

Achar is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.
