
Mangaluru, Aug 19, 2023: The BJP which is rattled by internal problems has reached a state wherein it cannot elect an opposition leader for the assembly, said KPCC Vice President and former MLC Ivan D’Souza.
He was addressing a press meet held at the District Congress Office on August 19, Saturday. “BJP leaders S T Somashekhar and Shivaram Hebbar are blaming the party for their failure. BJP State President’s tenure has ended and Nalin Kumar Kateel continues in the position like an expired medicine. Meanwhile, Basavaraj Bommai has bowed before JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy. The BJP is facing a downfall,” alleged Ivan.
He said the local MLA who is criticizing over Wenlock problems was speaking by forgetting his responsibility.
He thanked the Chief Minister for releasing a total grant of Rs 9.25 lakhs towards providing relief to the families of two youth who drowned in Alape and 11 families towards medical treatment of their ailing members.
Party leaders Praveen Alva, Bhasker Rao, Sesamma and others were present.
