Rare species of silk worm found in Mannagudda

Mangalore, Oct 27, 2012: A rare species of silk worm was found at a house in Kanthiraj Lane, Mannagudda on Oct 27, Saturday.

The owner of the house Sudhir Raj, a businessman, said that he did not kill this creature because he had never seen it before.

 

The worm has a wood color and black circles on its back. It has hair near its mouth and is around 10cm length.

Since he does not know where to hand it over, he has invited interested people to collect it from him.
