Raitha Sangha seeks total waiver of farm loans

Mangaluru, Dec 17, 2019:  Raitha Sangha Hasiru Sene State Secretary Ravikiran Punacha has urged the government for a complete waiver of farm loans of the eligible beneficiaries as announced by the previous government.

He was addressing a protest organised by the district units of Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha and Hasiru Sene in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office here on December 17. He  also demanded compensation to areca growers of the district who  have suffered losses due to yellow leaf disease. He also urged for steps to set up a Monkey Park and Peacock Park in the district to ensure wild animals  did not prey on crops.  Punacha further appealed for early disposal of  applications under 94C and 94CC.

District President of the organisation Oswald Prakash Fernandes, Secretary Prasad Shetty, Vice President Diwaker Pai and others were present.
