Railways to run Onam festival special trains to clear extra rush of passengers

Mangaluru, Aug 09, 2023: In order to clear extra rush of passengers during of Onam Festivals, special trains will be run as detailed below:

 

Train


1.  The service of Train No. 06046 Ernakulam Junction–Dr. MGR Chennai Central Weekly Special will leave Ernakulam Junction at 21.00 hrs on 24th, 31st August 2023, and 07th September 2023 (Thursdays) and reach Dr.MGR Chennai Central at 11.30 hrs, the next day(3 Services).

2.  The service of Train No. 06045 Dr. MGR Chennai Central–Ernakulam Junction Weekly Special  will leave Dr. MGR Chennai Central at 15.10 hrs on 25th August, 01st and 08th September, 2023(Fridays) and reach Ernakulam at 03.00 hrs, the next day (3 Services).

Coach Composition: AC Two Tier Coaches-1, AC Three Tier Coaches-4, Sleeper Class Coaches-10, General Second Class Coaches-3 & Second Class Divyangjan Friendly coaches-2.

Stoppages: Aluva, Thrissur, Palakkad Junction, Podanur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi and Arakkonam.

Note: Ernakulam Junction–Dr. MGR Chennai Central Weekly Special will have an additional stoppage at Perambur.

3. The service of Train No. 06041 Tambaram–Mangaluru Junction Festival Special  will leave Trambaram at 13.30 hrs o­n 22nd, 29th August 2023 and 05th September, 2023 (Tuesdays) and reach Mangaluru Junction  at 06.45 hrs, the next day (03 Services)

4. The service of Train No. 06042 Mangaluru Junction-Tambaram Festival Special will leave Mangaluru Junction at 10.00 hrs o­n 23rd, 30th August 2023 and 06th September 2023(Wednesdays) and reach Tambaram at 04.45 hrs, the next day (03 Services).

Coach Composition: AC Two Tier Coaches-2, AC Three Tier Coaches-2, Sleeper Class Coaches-12, General Second Class Coaches-2 & Second Class Divyangjan Friendly coaches-2.

Stoppages: Chennai Egmore, Perambur, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore Junction, Palakkad Junction, Ottapalam, Shoranur Junction,  Kuttipuram, Tirur, Ferok, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod.

5. The service of Train No.06083 Kochuveli–SMVT Bengaluru Weekly Special Train will leave Kochuveli at 18.05 hrs on Tuesdays on 22nd, 29th August 2023 and 05th September 2023 (03 services) to reach SMVT Bengaluru at 10.55 hrs the next day.

6.  The service of Train No.06084 SMVT Bengaluru–Kochuveli Weekly Special Train will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 12.45 hrs on Wednesdays on 23rd, 30th August 2023 and 06th September 2023 (03 services) to reach Kochuveli at 06.00 hrs the next day.

Timings at Palakkad Junction: 21.20/21.30

Composition: AC 3-tier–16, Sleeper Class–2 Coaches and Brake luggage cum Generator car-2.

Stoppages: Kollam, Kayamkulam, Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanasseri, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrisur, Palakkad Junction, Pothanur, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Bangarapet and Krishnarajapuram.
