
Mangaluru, Jul 30, 2026: To facilitate track maintenance works at various locations in the Palakkad Division on multiple days, the Railways has announced temporary changes to several train services, including cancellations, partial cancellations, rescheduling, and en-route regulation.
As part of the revised schedule, Train No. 56604 Shoranur Junction–Coimbatore Junction Passenger will remain fully cancelled on August 4, 11, and 16, 2026.
In addition, Train No. 16307 Alappuzha–Kannur Express will be partially cancelled on August 15 and 22, 2026. The train will be short-terminated at Mahe, and services between Mahe and Kannur will remain cancelled on those dates.
The Railways has also rescheduled Train No. 56604 Shoranur Junction–Coimbatore Junction Passenger on August 6, 9, and 20, 2026. Instead of its scheduled departure at 8.20 am, the train will depart at 8.40 am, resulting in a delay of 20 minutes.
Several long-distance trains will also experience en-route regulation due to the maintenance works:
* Train No. 12618 Hazrat Nizamuddin Junction–Ernakulam Junction Mangala Lakshadweep Superfast Express will be regulated by 30 minutes on journeys commencing August 8, 15, 22, and 29, 2026.
* Train No. 16312 Thiruvananthapuram North–Shri Ganganagar Weekly Express will be regulated by 40 minutes on journeys commencing August 8, 15, and 22, 2026.
* Train No. 22638 Mangaluru Central–Dr MGR Chennai Central West Coast Express will be regulated by 50 minutes on journeys commencing August 9, 16, 23, and 30, 2026.
* The same West Coast Express will also be regulated by 30 minutes on journeys commencing August 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, and 27, 2026, as well as September 1 and 3, 2026.
Passengers have been advised to check the latest train schedules before commencing their journey and plan accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
