Railway Minister DVS releases spl issue of “Tuluver”

New Delhi, July 4, 2014 : The 40th annual special issue of ‘Tuluver’ a Tulu monthly published from Delhi, was released by Union Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda.

 

 In his address, the minister showered praises on the richness of Tulu language and stressed the need for translation of Tulu works into other languages.

M.B. Samaga, Editor of ‘Tuluver’  who spoke on the occasion, made an appeal to the government to include Tulu in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.  He further placed forth a demand for a Tulu cultural museum in Mangalore and a Tulu University in Karnataka.
