Rai accuses RSS leader Prabhakar Bhat of corruption

Bantwal, November 28: Addressing a meeting of Congress activists from Bantwal and Panemangalore held at Hotel Rangoli in Bantwal, District Congress Committee President Ramanath Rai accused RSS leader Prabhakar Bhat of corruption and lambasted RSS and BJP for robbing the people of Karnataka.

 


Accusing Mr. Bhat of using his BJP connections to amass illegal wealth, he reacted strongly against the chief minister’s recent statements that the BJP has achieved more in 2 years than the Congress could ever achieve in the past 60 years. He also demanded to know if robbing the state of its natural resources and amassing wealth at the cost of the people can be called development.


Listing out the various achievements of the Congress, he said that the land reforms that resulted in social revolution were the greatest achievements of the party. He urged Congress activists to work hard for party welfare and to ensure its success in the forthcoming Zilla Panchayat and Taluk Panchayat polls.


Parameshwar delivered the welcome address; Rajiv Shetty Edthur was the comperer; and Chandrahasa Karkera proposed the vote of thanks.
