Raashi Mandala Pooja, Nakshatra Yaga performed at Sri Venkatramana Temple

Mangalore, Oct 11, 2013: A Raashi Mandala Pooja and Nakshatra Yaga, the first such Yaga being held during this century, was performed on October 11, Friday under the leadership of Pandit Narasimha Acharya as part of the 91st Sarvajanika Sri Sharada Mahotsava being celebrated at the Acharya Mutt premises of Sri Venkatramana Temple, Carstreet.

 

Hundreds of devotees participated in the Pooja and Yaga and prayed to the almighty for the fulfillment of their wishes.

The Maha Yaga which commenced at 4.30 am  with a prayer,  saw the participation of over 100 priests (Vaidiks). The Poornahuti of the yaga will be held at 8 am on October 12, Saturday. There will be mass feeding (Sarvajanika Anna Daana)  from 1.30 pm after the Poornahuthi.
