RSS holds Vijayadashami route marches across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 26, 2026: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) organised route marches at several locations across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on Sunday to mark Vijayadashami and the organisation’s Foundation Day.

More than 10,000 uniformed volunteers participated in route marches at over 22 locations in Dakshina Kannada district, including Mangaluru city. The volunteers marched along major roads in synchronisation with the beats of the RSS ghosh band. In some places, members of the public welcomed them by showering flowers.

Several senior RSS and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders also took part in the marches. Police made elaborate security arrangements within the jurisdictions of the respective police stations.

2,120 Volunteers Participate in Udupi District

Around 2,120 volunteers participated in route marches organised at eight locations across Udupi district. Dressed in the RSS uniform, they marched along designated routes. At some locations, BJP and Sangh Parivar leaders also participated in uniform.

Police personnel were deployed along the march routes to ensure security and maintain order.
