Puttur woman murder case: Cops arrest minor nephew

Puttur, June 19, 2024: Police who are investigating into the suspicious death of 37 year old Hemavathi of Bilinuru village in Perne have come to the conclusion that it was a case of murder and have arrested the minor nephew of the deceased woman. The accused boy is a tenth standard student and the son of the deceased elder sister of Hemavathi.

It is said the boy who had stayed with his aunt had reportedly misbehaved with her and when he resisted he strangled her to death.

Initially it was believed that  the woman had died of cardiac arrest.
