Puttur boy Vaishnav wins 4 silver at state level inter-school aquatic meet

Mangalore, Oct 27, 2013: Vaishnav Hegde, a tenth standard student of Sudana Residential School,Puttur  has won four silver medals at the state level inter-school aquatic meet held at Basavanagudi Aquatic swimming pool, Bangalore on October 22 and 23. The event was organised by the Department of Public Instructions.

Vaishnav won silver in 50 Mtrs,100mtrs and 200 mtrs breast stroke and 4x100mtrs medlay relay. He has thus been qualified for the National Level  Aquatic championship and will be representing Karnataka  in the event to be held in Pune in December.

He has even been qualified for the Senior Nationals Aquatic Championship to be held in Trivandrum in November 2013. He happens to be the first swimmer from Puttur to have qualified for this championship.

Vaishnav Hegde is trained by Vasanth Kumar and Partha Varanashi at Balavana Swimming Pool,Puttur.
