Puttur: Youth found dead in water tank

Puttur, Mar 28, 2023: A youth was found  dead inside an overhead water tank of the Panchayat at Madnur village of Puttur taluk.

 

The deceased is Dinesh (18), son of Chennappa. He was a labourer and was reportedly an alcoholic. Dinesh was missing since three days.

It is learnt the tank was not filled with water for three days due to power problem. However the same was rectified on Monday and water was filled. On Tuesday, the  person who is in-charge of supplying water found the dead body when he was checking the tank.

Puttur Rural Police are investigating the case.
