Puttur, Sep 11, 2026: Two wild gaurs were spotted on the Puttur bypass road near the Duggamma–Deranna Hall area in the early hours of September 11, causing concern among local residents and motorists.

The gaurs, which are usually seen in rural and forested areas, were found standing on the road during the early morning hours. Their sudden appearance near the town area left pedestrians and motorists apprehensive for some time.
