Puttur: Pregnant woman commits suicide

Puttur, June 16, 2025: A pregnant woman has committed suicide by hanging herself in her house at Chikkaputtur on Sunday night.

The deceased is Reshma (28), wife of Chinthan, a leader of Puttila Parivar. The  exact reason for the suicide is not known. Reshma was seven months pregnant.

Reshma from Suratkal was given in marriage to Chinthan four years ago. The couple has a daughter and stayed in a rented accommodation.

Puttur Town Police are investigating the case.
