Puttur: Pharmacy student from Gadag drowns in Kumaradhara river

Puttur, May 22, 2026: A pharmacy student from Gadag drowned in the Kumaradhara river near Kathara in Bellipady village on Thursday, May 21.

The deceased has been identified as Kiran, who was pursuing a pharmacy course at an educational institution in Puttur.

According to reports, Kiran had gone swimming in the river along with three other youths when he was swept away by strong currents and drowned.
