Puttur: Passenger arrested for assaulting lady conductor of KSRTC bus

Puttur, Feb 22, 2023: A bus passenger has been arrested on the charges of assaulting a lady conductor on duty on the Mangaluru-Puttur KSRTC bus.

As per the complaint lodged by the conductor Vijaya, Puttur women police have arrested the passenger named Hasan.

 

On February 20, when the bus proceeded from Puttur bus stand and stopped near the market, the conductor had requested Hasan to let his seat to a passenger with disability. Hasan who reportedly objected, later abused and assaulted the conductor before fleeing.

The injured conductor has been hospitalised.
