Puttur: Man arrested for attempting to sell MDMA

Puttur, Nov 20, 2025: Police have arrested a man who was allegedly attempting to sell the banned drug MDMA. The incident took place at Mukrampady in Kemminje village.

The arrested accused is Mohammad Mustafa (36), a resident of Kabaka. It is learnt that he had been staying in a rented house near the Kammadi timber mill at Mukrampady, Kemminje.

Based on a tip-off about illegal MDMA peddling, Puttur Town Police Sub-Inspector Janardhan K.M. and his team conducted a raid. During the inspection, they found the accused in possession of 14 grams of MDMA in the rented room, allegedly being sold illegally.

A case has been registered against the accused at Puttur Town Police Station under Crime No. 109/2025, Section 8(C), 22(b) of the NDPS Act.
