Puttur: MLA Shakuntala Shetty demands action against Naushida for ‘kidnap’ drama

Puttur, Oct 1, 2013 :  Puttur MLA  Shakuntala Shetty has instructed the police department to initiate  action against Naushida, a woman hailing from Keyyur and also the forces behind her, for misleading the public as well as the police through her ‘kidnap’ story.

 

Speaking to reporters here on September 30, Monday, Shakuntala Shetty said  Naushida had committed an unpardonable offence through her kidnap drama and added that the incident  has  made the women folk hang their heads in shame. Such incidents will only make society view women with an eye of suspicion and a situation may even arise when the society may not believe a woman who complains of rape.

 The MLA strongly suspected the hands of some forces behind Naushida’s kidnap story more so because she was a leader of the women’s wing of the PFI.

It may be recalled here that Naushida had recently alleged that she was kidnapped by three men in a blue Scorpio car and that she managed to escape by jumping out of the vehicle near Arambur in Sullia.
