Puttur: Boy dies after coming in contact with live electric wire

Puttur, Apr 25, 2026: A 15-year-old boy died after accidentally coming into contact with an electric wire in Gadiyara on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Shaheer (15), son of Shareef, a resident of Kodaje near Neralakette.

According to reports, Shaheer was staying at his grandfather’s house in Gadiyara as it was a school holiday. His grandfather, Puttaka, is an auto rickshaw driver.

On Friday morning, Shaheer reportedly came into contact with a live electric wire and died on the spot.

He was a student of Mountain View English Medium School in Puttur.
