Puttur: Bike-jeep collision claims rider’s life

Puttur, April 18, 2024: A bike rider died on the spot while his two children sustained serious injuries  after their bike collided with a jeep at Papethadka in Narimogaru village of Puttur-Subrahmanya Road on Wednesday night.

 

The deceased is Lokesh (48). He worked as a lorry driver in Mangaluru and hailed from Sarve village in Puttur. His two children are being treated at a hospital in Mangaluru.

Lokesh and his children were returning after visiting the Puttur Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple where a fair is underway. The impact of the collision was such that the bike was broken into two pieces and the jeep had dragged the bike upto a distance of 50 meters.

Puttur Traffic Police have registered a case.
