Puttur: 6 fall ill due to heavy rush during Koorat Urus

Puttur, June 30, 2025: Six pilgrims were taken ill due to heavy rush during the Koorat Tangal Urus held at the Koorat masjid in Kudmar village of Puttur on Sunday.

Huge number of devotees from various places had converged for the Urus when six people fell ill.

They were immediately attended to by health department staff. Four of them were admitted to the government hospital where they received treatment as outpatients and then returned to their homes, according to SP Arun Kumar.

He also requested public not to pay heed to rumours in social media.
