Pro Baba Ramdev associations stage protest against police crack down

Mangalore, June 6: The Patanjali Yoga Samithi, the Bharath Swabhimaan, and the Arya Samaj organized a protest meet in front of the DC’s office on June 6, Monday. A special buddhi vriddhi shuddi homa was also preformed on the occasion.

Srinath Hegde, the vice president of the Patanjali Yoga Samithi, said in his protest speech that the attack on Baba Ramdev and his followers is just like the Jallianwalla Bhag tragedy, adding that this indicates that the country has still not got its independence.

Condemning the attack on Baba Ramdev and his followers, many of whom were women and children, he said that the police crack down on this anti-corruption campaign at 1:30 a.m. is condemned. The central government had ordered this attack out of fear that its various scams will be brought to the surface, he added.

He also condemned the fact that the police did not even spare women and children, 30 of whom are injured and taking treatment in hospitals.

Basheer Baikampady, the former deputy mayor of MCC, said that the central government, which has taken the responsibility for the country’s development, is involved in a number of scams and is using tax payers’ money. He said that Rs. 400 crores in black money, which has been deposited in Swiss banks by the central government, should be brought back to the country.

Stating that corruption can be witnessed right from LKG to medical colleges, he urged the people of the country to fight against the black money used by the central government and the hike in the prices of essential commodities, which is pushing the people into poverty.
