Mangalore, Nov 3, 2012: Parameshwar Konchady, a Postal Department employee, claimed that he holds the copyright to several famous lyrics he had lost in the Baikampady post office in 2007 – 08.
Addressing the press today, he said that, although he visited the Panambur Police Station to lodge a complaint, SI Kirti Kumar refused to accept it and told him not to come again.
He said that he was shocked to hear the same lyrics he had written and lost in the post office when the movie Aaptamitra was released. He accused Jayanth Kaikini and other sandalwood music directors of taking the lyrics from the book he had written and lost in the post office.
Mr. Konchady also said that he had written the lyrics Jinke Marina and given it to Mayura Videos free of cost. He claimed that some of his songs are Munni Badnam Huyi from Dabaang, Aja Aja Zindagi Mein from Slum Dog Millionaire, Tere Naina from My Name if Khan, Mast Mast Hudugi Bandlu from A, Idu Hakkiyalla from Aaptamitra. He listed a total of 33 super hit Hindi and Kannada songs, claiming them to be his own.
He also claimed that he wrote a film script, which has been copied for the films Eega and Manasare.
A reporter then wanted to know the meaning of the song Munni Badnam Huyi, and when he immediately replied that it means Munni Became Famous, the press meet burst into laughter.
