Police seize 520gms of ganja at Central Market

Mangalore, April 29: A team of police personnel led by K. K. Ramakrishna, the sub inspector of Bunder Police Station, arrested a person on April 29, Friday near Central Market and confiscated 520gms of ganja and Rs. 3,110 from him. The team had acted on a tip off.

The arrested is Dawood Farveed (24), the son of Abdul Rahiman of Permannur, and he was nabbed red-handed when he was trying to sell the ganja near the mutton stalls of Central Market.

The police have confiscated 10 40-gram packets and 1 120-gram packet of ganja from the arrested. Each 40-gram packet is worth Rs. 40.

Farveed is now in the custody of the Mangalore North (Bunder) Police, who have registered a case against him.
