Mangaluru, June 12, 2023: On Sunday, teams from the DK district police carried out an inspection at the residences of 83 rowdy-sheeters, falling under the jurisdiction of the Dakshina Kannada District Police as part of an exercise in curbing anti-social activities in the city.
The objective of the search was to uncover any illegal weaponry, but the police reported that no weapons were discovered during the operation.
Police officials stated that these searches were a part of their regular duties, as the department frequently conducts such inspections to monitor the activities of the troublesome individuals.
Simultaneously, the Mangaluru Police Commissioner announced that similar searches had been conducted within the commissionerate limits over the past two days, targeting the premises of 148 rowdy sheeters and other individuals accused of misconduct.
