Police arrest two rowdies associated with Ravi Poojary

Mangalore, Jun 7, 2011: The police have arrested two rowdies belonging to Ravi Poojary’s gang on June 7 Tuesday, said Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh at a press conference held in his office. DCP Muthuraya was present.

 

 

 

 

The arrested are Pradeep Mendon (39) of Udupi and A. S. Ravi (29) of Kodagu. The police have interrogated them and seized a revolver and ten bullets from them. The Mangalore East Police have also registered a case against the two.

The police department has been keeping a sharp eye on various rowdy characters ever since the shoot out at Kadri on May 26. The arrested are not directly connected with the shoot out, but they were found to be in possession of several dangerous weapons.

Both are associated with Ravi Poojary, the notorious underworld don. Pradeep is already wanted in 2 murder cases, 4 attempt to murder cases, 2 cases under the Arms Act of 1959, and two other cases.
