Police Commissioner warns against provocative, threatening social media posts

Mangaluru, May 8, 2025: City Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal has warned the public against provocative posts in social media aimed at threatening, spreading fake information and inciting communal hatred.

He has warned of stern action in such cases. The Commissioner said over 30 such cases have been registered in various police stations  in the past one week and a special investigation team was looking into these cases and have questioned several suspects.

The Commissioner requested the public, particularly the youth before making any post in social media and also appealed against forwarding provocative posts.
