Plans to have guidelines for counting of donations to temples : DC

Mangaluru, Mar 25, 2022: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr  K V Rajendra has said that efforts would be made to draw up guidelines for counting of  money from temple donation boxes, during the Dharmika Parishat meeting scheduled next week.

 

The DC said so in the wake of complaints that a lady trustee of Kadri Sri Manjunatheshwara Temple has stolen cash during the counting process.

The Assistant Commissioner of the Endowment Department has been asked to check CCTV footage and file a report, he said.

The  Kadri Temple Trustee H K Purushottam has also lodged a complaint with the Kadri Police   and has sought a probe into the issue.
