Photographer succumbs to injuries after road accident near Belthangady

Belthangady, May 27, 2026: Photographer Ganesh Gowda (36), who was seriously injured in a road accident involving a car and a motorcycle near Agari Cross at Somantadka, succumbed to injuries on May 25 despite treatment.

Ganesh Gowda, son of Nonnayya Gowda and a resident of Kaleanja in Belthangady taluk, owned and operated Ganesh Studio at Kayarthadka.

According to reports, the accident occurred on May 24 when Ganesh Gowda was travelling on his motorcycle from Ujire towards Kakkinje. His bike reportedly collided with an oncoming car, throwing him onto the road and causing severe injuries.

He was immediately shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru for treatment. However, he failed to respond to treatment and passed away on Monday.

A case has been registered at the Belthangady Traffic Police Station.
