People keen on seeing Modi as PM, says ex-Dy CM Eshwarappa

Mangalore, Mar 16, 2014 : Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister KS Eshwarappa  has claimed that there was a Modi wave in the nation and that the people and youth of the nation are keen on seeing Narendra Modi as the prime minister of the nation.

He was speaking after inaugurating a meeting of BJP workers of Mangalore South Assembly constituency unit at CV Nayak Hall, in the city on March 16, Sunday.

Eshwarappa further said the UPA led Congress government paid little attention to security aspects. Corruption is at its highest and women  no longer can wake safely on roads, he said. Continuing, he said Narendra Modi   was not just an individual but a power in himself and predicted that the Congress would be routed in the upcoming elections.

Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP and BJP candidate from DK constituency, said he  was first in the list of MPs from the state who made best use of the MP fund and claimed that he has won the confidence of the people. He also promised to work for the development of the constituency if given another chance.

Congressmen defect to BJP : Over 50 Congress workers including former corporator James D’Souza , Muralidhar Bolar and others joined the BJP on the occasion.

 Eshwarappa and Pratap Simha Nayak, District BJP President welcomed them to the party by  presenting them with shawls.

Yogish Bhat,former MLA, Ravishanker Mijar, town unit BJP President, Sudhir Shetty Kannur, Premanand, Nagaraj Shetty, Roopa D Bangera and others were present.
