Pejawar seer ‘shocked’ at Udayanidhi Stalin’s Sanatana Dharma remarks

Udupi, September 4, 2023: Sri Vishwa Prasanna Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt has expressed his shock over the statement of Tamil Nadu Minister Udayanidhi Stalin giving a call to eradicate Sanatana Dharma.

The Swamiji was speaking at a Sanatanam Abolition Conclave organised by Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers Forum.

He said Sanatana meant eternal and added that a Religion ensures that all people in the society strive for happiness in the society. The essence of Sanatana Dharma is to strive for everyone’s wellbeing in the society, he said.

“We might get joy out of our hard work. This should not cause inconvenience for even neighbours. Our efforts should be put in such a manner that they should bring joy to neighbours as well. This is the essence of Sanatana Dharma. What should we call for the persons who oppose Sanatana Dharma? Those who are talking about eradication of Sanatana Dharma do not want peace in the society. We condemn this statement and the mindset strongly,” Pejawar seer maintained.
