Pedestrian run over by bus near Bunts Hostel

Mangalore, Jan 6, 2012: A passer by was crushed under the tyres of a private bus at 9:00 p.m. on Jan 6 Friday near Bunts Hostel in Mangalore. 

The bus, which belongs to Nirmala Travels, was bound to Bajpe from State Bank, and nobody noticed the passer by because it was dark. 

The identity of the man is not yet known, but eyewitnesses say that he was around 40 years old and drunk. 

 

The bus driver is currently absconding. 

The Kadri Police rushed to the scene and had the body moved to Wenlock Hospital. They have also registered a case.
