Pedestrian fatally knocked down by speeding lorry near Talapady toll gate

Mangaluru, Nov 30, 2022: A pedestrian who was crossing the road near the Talapady toll gate on the National Highway 66 died after he was hit by a speeding lorry on November 28, Monday night.

 

The deceased is Vasanth Kumar Rai (55) of Adoor. He was working in the KSRTC depot in Kasargod.

Though Rai was immediately rushed to the hospital in an ambulance by the toll gate staff, his life could not be saved.

The lorry which caused the accident has been seized. A case has been registered against the driver.
