Mangalore, May 5, 2013: Leaders of various political parties including Bantwal Congress Candidate Ramanatha Rai were prominent among those who cast their votes in various polling booths o Bantwal.


Ramanatha Rai  accompanied by his wife  cast his vote at the Todambila Sacred Heart Aided Higher Primary School. Later, speaking to reporters, he said  he was sure that the electorate would give him another chance to represent the constituency.

Senior Congress leader B Janardhan Poojari exercised his franchise at the SVS High School at Bantwal. Speaking to waiting media persons, he said people who are fed up of the corruption and misrule of the BJP are hoping for a change.


District BJP Chief K Padmanabha Kottari cast his vote at the Goltamajalu Panchayat office polling booth.


Polling began an hour behind schedule at the Todambila Sacred Heart Aided Higher Primary School after the voting machine developed a snag.
