Peace Meet begins : District in-charge Minister, MLAs abstain

Mangaluru, July 30, 2022: The peace meeting arranged by the District Administration in the wake of the recent untoward incidents in the district, commenced at the DC office on July 30, Saturday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra,  ADGP Alok Kumar, IGP Devajyothi Ray, City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar, SP Rishikesh Sonavane and MCC Commissioner Akshy Sridhar  are attending the meet.

However, District in-charge Minister as well as Legislators have abstained from the meeting. The meeting is being held in the absence of  many leaders of Hindu and Muslim communities and only a handful of representatives from some parties are participating.

The media has been kept out of the meeting.
