Parashurama statue row: Pramod Mutalik lashes out at Sunil Kumar, asks him to resign

Udupi, Oct 17, 2023: Sri Rama Sene Founder and National President Pramod Mutalik who convened a press meet here on October 17, Tuesday in connection with the controversy surrounding the statue of Parashurama at the theme park at Karkala, has lashed out at the sitting Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar and said he has done great insult to Parashurama who is believed to be the creator of Tulunadu.

 

Mutalik said Sunil Kumar has brought disrepute to the legislator position that he was holding for his own selfish gains and demanded his resignation.

When engineers had said it required one year for completion, everything was completed in 41 days. The MLA and engineers have to answer as to how this was possible. Mutalik said.

Moreover there is no permission for construction and installation of statue in this place, he claimed.

He demanded a thorough probe into the controversy around the statue. He said installation of the statue here again will not be allowed until probe is complete.

Sri Rama Sene leaders Gangadhar Kulkarni, Anand Shetty Adyar, Jayaram Ambekallu and others were present.
