palemar12mar25 1Mangalore, Mar 25, 2012: The Karnataka Legislature Committee, appointed to investigate the porngate scandal, has declared that J. Krishna Palemar, the former district-in-charge minister, is innocent.

Interacting with reporters on the sidelines of the function held to inaugurate the new police station building on Friday, Palemar told reporters that he had neither committed a crime nor was he accused of any crime.

Stating that the media had gone out of its way to portray him as guilty, Palemar said that he is happy that the committee has declared the truth. When inquired if he would be re-inducted as a minister, Palemar said that it is left to the party. He also declared that he is least interested in power and can survive without it.

The investigative panel, headed by Shrishailappa Bidarur, has declared C. C. Patil and Palemar as not guilty in the porngate scandal, but it has declared Lakshman Savadi of being guilty of viewing sex clips in assembly.

Since Congress and JD (S) members had boycotted its meetings, the committee comprised only BJP members.
