Palemar breaks silence after porn-viewing episode

Mangalore, Feb 20, 2012: Delivering a public statement on the occasion of his first visit to his home constituency following the porn-viewing episode, MLA Krishna J. Palemar said that he is not guilty. 

Addressing reporters in his house on Monday, Palemar said that the investigation ordered by the speaker will prove his innocence. Stating that he had resigned although innocent to protect the reputation of his party, his district, and his state, Palemar said that the people of DK, of which was the in-charge minister for the past four years, know him very well. 

Explaining his silence about the incident, the minister said that he considered it inappropriate to make public statements when he had already submitted a written statement to the house committee, which was appointed to investigate the issue.

Stating that he was in a state of shock, he expressed confidence that he will soon be proved innocent before the people of the district. 

He also stated that it is up to the party to restore his ministerial posts to him once he has been proved innocent.
