Padubidri: Former GP President David D’Souza shot dead by assailants

Padubidri, Aug 7, 2026: David D’Souza, former president of Mudarangady Gram Panchayat, Congress leader and contractor, was reportedly shot dead by unidentified assailants on Friday.

According to reports, two miscreants arrived in a vehicle around noon and opened fire at D’Souza before fleeing the spot. He sustained serious injuries and reportedly died while being taken to the hospital.

Padubidri police have reached the spot and are conducting an investigation.
