PPC students emerge winners in Rural IT Quiz

Mangalore, Nov 10, 2013: Two students from Poorna Prajna Pre-University College of Udupi have emerged the winners in the national level Rural IT quiz conducted at Bangalore on November 8, Friday by  the Tata Consultancy Services and Department of IT, BT, Science and Technology. The theme of the quiz was chess.

The winners Sandeep Rao and Kaushik Kalmady  defeated the Madhya Pradesh team in a keenly contested finals. Both Sandeep and Kaushik are classmates since Class One and have participated together in several quiz events.

They had won the second place in the event last year. As a prize the two have won educational scholarships worth Rs one lakh each from Tata Consultancy Services apart from a trophy and a goodie bag.
