Over 1500 enthusiasts take part in Syndicate Bank Udupi Half Marathon

Udupi, Mar 10, 2013: Over 1500 enthusiasts took part in the Syndicate Bank Udupi Half Marathon organized by the  Udupi District Athletic Association here on March 10, Sunday. Udupi District Minister and State Minister for Mujrai and Ports, flagged off the 21 km Marathon at the  Syndicate Bank Head Office in Manipal.

 

The marathon passed through Tiger Circle, Manipal University, End Point junction, Perampalli road, Junction, Bannanje, SP Office, Government hospital, Big Bazaar, Diana Circle, Kidiyoor Hotel, Kalsanka, Doddangudde, Sharada Residential School, MGM and Indrali before culminating at the start point. Apart from the Marathon races were conducted  for different age groups under various categories.

Among others present on the occasion were Deputy Commissioner Dr MT Reju,Udupi  SP Dr Boralingaiah,  DySP Prabhudeva, Legislator K Raghupathi, Manipal University Pro Chancellor Dr H S Ballal, Syndicate Bank General Managers PK Saxena, Anil Kumar and  Udupi District Athletic Association President Balakrishna Hegde.
