Out of control car hits many vehicles; accused escape

Udupi, July 11, 2023: A car which was being driven in a rash and negligent manner rammed into many vehicles at Manipal on July 10, Monday.

The car first rammed into a bus near the bus stand and while taking a reverse hit a two-wheeler and injured the rider.

 

It has been gathered that the car was over speeding right from Parkala. Though police gave the car a chase, the three men in the car stopped the car and escaped into a nearby forest. Though the police and the public searched for the three men, it went in vain.

Inspection of the car has revealed that those inside it might have consumed alcohol or drugs. The car is registered in the name of a person from Kodavoor. Police are questioning him.
