Our activists not involved in Malegaon blasts – Sanathan Sanstha

Mangalore, Feb 23, 2012: Addressing reporters at a press conference held on Feb 22 Wednesday, Vinod Kamath, the spokesperson for Sanathan Samstha, a Hindu organization, stated that members of the Sananthan Samstha Vinay Kumar and Uday Kumar of Neriya in Belthangady are not involved in the Malegaon blast in any way. 

A National Investigation Agency (NIA) team had picked up the brothers for questioning a few days back since their relative Jayaprakash Gowda, one of the chief accused in the Malegaon blast is currently absconding. 

Accusing the NIA team of unnecessarily harassing the members of the Sanstha in the guise of conducting investigations, Mr. Kamath said that the organization will lodge complaints against the team with the Women’s Commission, the chief minister of Karnataka, and the Human Rights Commission. 

Ramesh Nayak, Anil Kamath, Vinay Kumar, and Uday Kumar were also present at the press conference.
