Oscar lashes out at Modi govt over rail fare hike

Udupi, June 25, 2014:  :  Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Oscar Fernandes has come down heavily on the Narendra Modi led Union Government for the  unprecedented increase in rail fares.

Participating in a protest organised by the Congress in front of the Clock Tower in the city on June 24, Tuesday, Oscar  the BJP government was pursuing anti-people policies within one month of its coming to power and was exposing its true colour.

Oscar further said Modi’s  directive  to secretaries to  inform him after initiating necessary steps in their respective departments revealed that Modi did not have trust in his own ministers.

Several party leaders attended the protest.
