Onam feast and festival celebrated in Kerala Samajam School

Mangalore , August 27,2012 : An event as a part of Onam celebrations was conducted in Kerala Samajam School here on Sunday.Speaking at the function J.R. Lobo, Executive Director, Pilikula Nisargadhama who inaugurated the event said, “Unlike many other festivals, it is one such festival that takes along everyone. It is not restricted to a specific community or caste. Am glad am a part of such an event here”.
The event included a cultural programme called “Thiruvathira”, a dance performed by women.

A lively contemporary dance was performed by students of Kerala Samajam School. The celebrations also included a traditional ‘Onam Sadhya’(vegetarian delicacy feast) .A skit was enacted by the students of the school. Prize distribution ceremony for the winners of various competitions concluded the programme.
