Ocean Pearl to host festival of evening snacks - ’Kudla da Ruchi’

Mangalore, May 12, 2011: For the first time in city, ‘Kudla da Ruchi’ a festival of evening snacks will be held at Sagar Ratna, The Ocean Pearl, from May 13 onward showcasing a wide variety of delicacies.


Revealing details of the event, Mr Nagarajan J Udupa, Vice President, Sagar Ratna Hotels Pvt. Ltd told reporters that the festival will enhance the cuisine of Sagar Ranta. ‘Kudla da ruchi’ will introduce a new range of delicacies and the festival will be a regular feature every day from 3pm onwards at Sagar Ratna. The Culinary delights, sure to tingle the taste buds of the connoisseur, will feature permanently on the menu of Sagar Ratna. The festival aims to promote the culture of eating out during evenings in the city, Mr Udupu said.

He said the festival will bring to Mangalore many variety of Dosa made featuring cucumber, Coriander Leaves, Capsicum, Palak, Bread Butter, Banana and Pineapple. An Ocean Pearl Dosa, Spring Onion Dosa, Ragi Roti and Roti and Akki Roti form the delicious complement in the Dosa segment.


Mr Udupa said ‘Kudla da Ruchi’ will also feature other special delicacies such as Moong Dal Usli, Semiya Bath, bana Bonda, Biscuit Roti, Pathrode, Moode with Tov, Kottige, Semige with coconut Milk, Cutlet, Goli Baje Podi, Capsium, Podi, Gulla Podi, Awalakki Kadle and Sajjige bajil.


Sagar Ratna restaurant is housed at The Ocean Pearl, a prestigious name in Mangalore’s hospitality industry, featuring 84 deluxes rooms, Banquet Hall ‘Pacific’ with a capacity to accommodate 1000 guests, party hall ‘jade’ where 40 persons can Jive at a time, 24 hour coffee shop ‘Tide and multi cuisine fine dine restaurant ‘Coral.
