No confusion in BJP; govt will complete full term, says a confident Shettar

Mangalore, Dec 2, 2012 : Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar has expressed confidence  that his government will complete its  full term.


Speaking to reporters  on his arrival at the Maryhill helipad on December 2, Sunday, Shettar asserted that all MLAs are with the BJP.

The CM also exuded confidence that the exit of former CM Yeddyurappa from the BJP will have no impact on the poll prospects of the party. “ Our party has a strong presence in the state and party workers in every village have strengthened the base of the party,” the Chief Minister said.


Continuing, Shettar said the  pro-people rule of the state government was sure to yield positive results for the party and once again reiterated that there was no confusion among party men post exit  of former CM Yeddyurappa.


Referring to the Cauvery water row, the Chief Minister said he was hopeful that the verdict will be in favour of the state “ The State’s argument will be presented before the Apex Court  during the hearing scheduled for December 3, Monday,” he informed.
He also said  it was difficult  to release Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu, considering  the  state’s own problems.
 TV journalists boycott CM’s visit : Meanwhile, a section of TV journalists boycotted the CM’s visit to Mangalore  in protest against the government’s apathy in releasing Naveen Soorinje, a private channel reporter who is behind bars in the homestay attack case.
